Fill your heart with some faith in humanity. Watch as these Greenwood Village Police escort a family of geese off a busy highway.

A family of geese found themselves wandering around on I-25 near Greenwood Village. Quick to come to the rescue, Greenwood Village Police did something extremely heartwarming: a police escort was sent out to deliver the goose family back to safety. A video was captured by Rod Wayne on June 14; it shows six geese walking down the road, single file, as three police cars coast beside them steering them clear of the busy highway. The video was quickly picked up by the City of Greenwood Village and posted to its Facebook page. The video has gathered more than 2.7 million views!

One Facebook commenter even recalled a similar rescue by the department saying: "This is so funny ... when I was living in Greenwood Village a momma duck took her little ones right over the catch basin and they all fell in! I called the city and the police rescued them! They do a lot of this." This just goes to show that even animal lives are important to our local police officers! We at OCN can say our hearts are officially warmed and we are happy to have officers like this at the Greenwood Village Police Department!
