Happy Birthday, ya party animal! Get free admission to the Denver Zoo on your birthday.

With the exception of the countless free-admission days offered at the Denver Zoo, among other locations like the Denver Botanic Gardens and the Denver Art Museum, there's another day of the year that you can get in for free: your birthday.

However, in order to get in for free, you'll need to register for a Denver Zoo account. (The process is super-simple, and free, too.)

Then, once you're all registered, you'll be ready to go and have a wild time! In addition to receiving an admission ticket (via email) on your birthday, you'll also get a souvenir button, an ice cream cone, a free ride on the zoo carousel, and a 10 percent discount at the gift shop.

And while it's not written on the Denver Zoo's website, I would bring a form of ID to verify your age, just in case.

Don't forget to check out the other free-admission days at state and national parks.

The Denver Zoo had to bid farewell to Masika, one of its beloved giraffes.
