It's time for a Teddy Bear's Picnic! Colorado Bears are waking up from their winter slumber and they're hungry!

Colorado wildlife officials are letting Coloradans know it's time to secure your trash and put the bird feeders away. The Colorado bears are coming out to play... and eat! The Steamboat Pilot & Today reported the Steamboat Police Department has already received two reports of bears rummaging through trash cans. The Colorado Parks and Wildlife department stated all black bears across Colorado are waking up and becoming more active. colorado bears As we reported last year, Colorado neighborhoods are seeing more and more bear activity as the spring and summer seasons progress. This is due to the increased housing development closer to bears habitats, so bear sightings for many should be expected. Officials recommend residents get bear-proof trashcans if they don't already have one and take preventative measures to make sure they don't see too many scavengers in the coming months.  

Bears rising and shining only means one thing... Spring is here!! Get your gardening utensils ready to make Spring time bloom!
