On Friday, May 24, 2024, around 4:48 p.m., Deputy Josh Travis responded to a two-vehicle non-injury collision at the intersection of I-24 and US 62 in Kuttawa. His investigation revealed a 2010 Nissan Altima, driven by Cari J. Gibson (37) of Calvert City was making a left turn at the end of the exit ramp onto US 62 when she failed to yield the right of way and pulled into the path of a Westbound 2023 Toyota Rav4 driven by Tyler Veale (29) of Cincinnati, OH. In an attempt to avoid colliding with the Nissan, Veale steered to the right but impacted the Gibson vehicle in the rear driver’s side fender. There were no injuries reported in the collision. On Monday, May 27, 2024, around 3:15 a.m., Deputy David Carroll responded to assist Lyon County EMS after they were dispatched to a Kuttawa motel for a patient with breathing problems. Once on scene, Deputy Carroll observed illegal narcotics in the room and attempted to detain a female, identified as Andrea M. Breedlove (35) of Princeton. Breedlove physically resisted arrest and was the recipient of a taser deployment. She was taken into custody without further incident and charged with resisting arrest. A male subject in the room was identified as Heath A. Rogers (48) of Princeton. He was charged with possession of controlled substance-1st degree (methamphetamine). Rogers was transported by Lyon EMS to Caldwell Medical Center and Breedlove was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center. Sheriff Brent White assisted Deputy Carroll at the scene.
