A Virginia man totaled a $300,000 sports car one day after buying it, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Now you see it, now you don't. (Because it's wrapped around a tree).

The McLaren 720s, a British sports car, crashed into a tree in Great Falls on Saturday morning after being owned for one day, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. "Purchased Friday. Totaled Saturday,” the police department posted on their Facebook page.

The crash, in the 1000 block of Walker Road, happened because the driver was speeding, lost control of the vehicle, and ended up smacking into a formidable tree trunk. It took a beating, but when later interviewed by the press, the tree was quoted as saying, "You should've seen the other guy."

The driver was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening but are definitely going to leave a mark.

A used McLaren 720S, with about 1,300 miles on it, is advertised on the Carfax website for $317,255. On its website, the McLaren company had this to say about its "supercar."

The McLaren 720S embodies our relentless quest to push the limits of possibility. Lighter, stronger, faster. It’s all of these and more. But how it makes you feel is altogether something else. Prepare to push the limits of what you thought possible in a supercar.

We're going out on a "limb" here and guessing the driver of the car pushed more limits in one day than the rest of us do all year.

Would you drop 300 large on a sports car? And then crash it just because you can? Tell us all about it in the comments, playa.'
