Wendy’s iconic ice cream treat is now available in strawberry.

Wendy’s is adding a new flavor to the ice cream machines this summer. The hamburger chain has created a Strawberry Frosty, which will only be available for a limited time.

"We're always listening to our fans and as the most-requested item, it was a no-brainer for us to bring the Strawberry Frosty to the menu this season," said Carl Loredo, Chief Marketing Officer for The Wendy's Company. "While some of our competitors are still trying to get their ice cream machines to work, fans can dip into this new strawberry treat all summer long at Wendy’s."

Of course, this is clearly a dig on McDonald’s, as the chain almost always has problems with its broken ice cream machines.

Along with the new Frosty flavor, Wendy’s has brought back a popular summer item, the summer strawberry chicken salad. The salad is made with grilled chicken and topped with three kinds of cheese, strawberries, candied almonds, bacon, and a champagne vinaigrette. Now through July 3, you can get a free small fry when you purchase a strawberry salad through the Wendy’s app.

You can also use your Wendy’s rewards points to get a strawberry Frosty for just 150 points.

This isn’t the first time Wendy’s has offered Frostys in another flavor. In 2006, a vanilla version of the Frosty was put on the menu after repeated requests from customers.
