The famous singer built the Aspen home in 1972.

John Denver once referred to the Aspen home as "my sweet Rocky Mountain paradise." And now, it can be your own little slice of paradise.

The famous singer-songwriter's former home went on the market around Christmastime and is listed for $11 million. The five-bedroom, 7,735-square-foot home is set on a 2.61-acre of land with picturesque mountain views, and was the inspiration for his song "Starwood in Aspen."

"People talk about it and they refer to it as the John Denver house pretty consistently," Jim Bineau, a broker for Coldwell Banker Mason Morse, told the Aspen Times. He added that the celebrity appeal of the home "adds some pizzazz, but look, it's priced right in the market so people are asking first, does it have views, does it have the floor plan, does it have the style? That's first and foremost."

The Aspen home underwent an initial remodel in 1985 and then went through two sets of owners after Denver's death in 1997. Its current owners, Denis and Kelly O'Donovan, bought the home for $2.75 million in December 2016 before it got remodeled again. They've preserved the home's legacy while simultaneously updating it for modern times.

"The new owner will enjoy the modernity of new construction married with the satisfaction of owning the home of one of Aspen's most notable icons," states the real estate agency.

In its current form, the home boasts five bedrooms, five baths, two half baths, an art studio/office, three wet bars, a swimming pool, and much more.
