Do ya like dags?

If you haven't seen the film Snatch with Brad Pitt, you're probably wondering how our editor let such a flagrant spelling error by. But if you have, then you're probably saying, "yes, Brad Pitt. Yes, I do." And if that's the case, you've come to the right place, because Colorado loves dags, too.

That love has manifested itself into some fantastic dog parks around the Front Range that are the ultimate treat for your quadruped companion. Do your furry friend a favor and take them for a day they won't forget at some of these fantastic parks where they are free to roam off-leash, meet some barking buddies, and do what dogs do best.

Louisville Community Dog Park, 955 Bella Vista Drive

Located near historic Downtown Louisville, this park is the perfect place to take your pup on a hot summer day. The fenced-in park also has a small pond the dogs are free to frolic and swim around in. The park itself has plenty of open field space for the humans to enjoy and a playground for the little ones. A perfect option for the whole family, Louisville Community Park is spacious, well-maintained, and diverse in activities for all.

Lyons Dog Park, 199 2nd Ave.

A bit off the beaten path, Lyons Dog Park makes the trip worth it with 10 acres of fenced-in paradise. Located just off the highway, it's a perfect pitstop for your pooch if you're heading up to Rocky Mountain National Park and want to make sure he gets a good stretch in beforehand. The park is a large expanse of tall grass with mowed sections and a nice trail running around the perimeter should you follow your pup's lead and feel like getting a good romp in.

Barnum Dog Park, N. Julian St. Between W. 4th Ave. and 5th Ave.

Barnum Dog Park is one of the newest dog parks in Denver, and it's conveniently located next to Barnum Park, which has the rec center and pool. Talk about bang for your buck! You could have your kids at the rec and your dog partying with his puppy pals, all while you practice your backhand on the tennis courts next to the park. You are expected to have voice command and proximity to your dog, but you're also not supposed to sneak milk duds into the movie theater, so we'll leave that judgment call up to you.

Little Boxcar Dog Park, Broadway and Lawrence

Perhaps not the cream of the crop when it comes to dog parks, Little Boxcar makes the list because of its niche location. Right downtown, it's the perfect little oasis for your dog to get some runaround if you're caught up in the hustle and bustle of city living. It may be tiny, it may be nestled on the corner of two busy streets, but it's there and it's a welcoming space for dogs to get off the leash and get a little "me time" before they head back to their day jobs patrolling the city streets from their highrises.

Railyard Dog Park, Little Raven St. and 19th Ave.

Another gem in the concrete jungle, Railyard Dog Park is mere blocks from the Denver skatepark and the South Platte River. The river trails are a great starting place to take a nice long walk with your pooch and then set them loose at Railyard for some free time and mutt mingling. It can get a little dusty, as it's near the train station, but tradeoff off is getting to be right downtown and near the river trails. I have scoured the internet and there are currently no dogs putting up negative reviews about Railyard, so if you're going for your pup, chances are they will love it.
