Patuxent State Park

If you are into hunting and fishing, this is the perfect spot for you! If you are interested in hiking this is great for you as well. Spend an afternoon at Patuxent State Park.

Seven Bends State Park

Gambrill State Park

[gallery ids="399,397,398,400"] Right at the beginning of the Catoctin Mountains in Frederick, Maryland is Gambrill State Park. This is the perfect getaway if you are in search of an adventure. I recommend the High Knob area which is an overlook with views of surrounding towns and lush mountains.

Sky Meadows State Park

What is so unique about this state park is that it is on historic farmland in Virginia. When you visit here, it almost feels as though you’re going back in time! Flag down a park ranger and receive an educational spiel about the post Civil War history this park has.

Mason Neck State Park

Seneca Creek State Park
