Dillon Reservoir introduces pedal boarding as its latest attraction!

If you've ever tried paddle boarding, you'd know that it's really not as easy as it looks. It requires great focus and balance as you glide around using a paddle to steer. It's more of a workout than you realize! In true Colorado fashion, the adventure seekers took it up a notch, and now pedal boarding is offered at Dillon Reservoir. The best part about this new found exercise/pastime? It's great for all ages! Grab the family, and enjoy some of the last days of summer soaking in the Colorado beauty. https://twitter.com/MattRenoux/status/889808332046729216
There are a couple of pedals, and they are connected to flippers under the board that propel you along through the water," Jen Shimp, the coordinator at the Frisco Bay Marina, explained to 9News.
It's essentially an elliptical that glides across the water. Therefore, if you weren't into the paddle board fad, this might be for you! It's definitely easier to maneuver and get the hang of.
The handle bar adds a level of stability that you can't get on a stand up paddle board," Shimp says. "We put some grandmas and little kids on this and they all have a great time.”
If you're interested in trying pedal boarding, you can rent one for two hours at $50. Not only is this great for the family, but you can get your workout in, too. For more information, visit the Frisco Bay Marina's website.
