Here are three of the best places in Colorado to have that idyllic sleigh ride experience!

The only problem with mountain sleigh rides is that they're always over way too soon. Being nestled down in cozy blankets with someone you love, feeling the chilly air sting your face as you glide along the scenic, snowy Rocky Mountain landscape ... There are few situations that could compare to that! But I tend to wish my entire life were lived within a print by Currier and Ives. If you're looking to create that memorable sleigh ride experience this winter, here are three of the best places for it!

Dashing Thru the Snow Sleigh Rides | Fraser

[gallery type="rectangular" size="medium" ids="29047,29046,29051"] Located about 20 minutes north of the Winter Park Ski area, Dashing Thru the Snow gives both private and group rides in old-fashioned horse-drawn sleighs. The scenic ride ends at a toasty camp fire, where you can warm up with hot cocoa and let the kids roast marshmallows and go sledding. Prices start at $30, and reservations are required. Two Below Zero | Frisco

[gallery type="rectangular" size="medium" ids="29058,29057,29056"] Open through mid-April, Two Below Zero offers three unique sleigh ride outings: the group hot cocoa ride, the private romantic ride, and the ultimate experience: a sleigh ride which ends in a three-course dinner and theater show. Prices range from $45 to $295 (depending on the selected ride and the time of year), and reservations are required. Visit their website for more information!

The Golden Horseshoe Tour Co. | Breckenridge

[gallery type="rectangular" size="medium" ids="29055,29053,29052"] About 25 minutes from Breckenridge, the Nordic sleigh ride at Golden Horseshoe was voted the Best Sleigh Ride in Summit County. Take a private romantic ride on a one-horse open sleigh (perfect for popping the question), a leisurely group ride with hot chocolate, or a ride that culminates in a recreated mining camp dinner theater experience. Prices start at $40. Check out their website for more information and to make reservations!
