CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Tenants at a so-called luxury apartment were living far from it in Richmond Heights.

A local complex had no working elevators for weeks and after a call to the 19 Troubleshooters, they got results.

“It’s about time,” said resident Carl Clark.

Clark has lived at 444 Park Apartments in Richmond Heights for decades.

He said he was relieved on Wednesday.

“This is not even a home. You can’t even make a home out of this place,” said Clark.

The state shut down all 12 elevators in December.

Right now, 7 elevators are back up and running. Not enough but better than none. Either way, Clark says he is ready to leave.

“The only reason I am still here is because I am a Vet. I live on a limited income,” said Clark.

The state said it plans to inspect the remaining 5 elevators soon.

However, the city is taking a legal approach. This adjudication order was issued to the complex owner. It states they were in violation of a city ordinance.

“Would you recommend anyone to live here?” “No, I wouldn’t. Not at all,” said Clark.

19 Troubleshooters were able to get some results. However, tenants say the elevators are just the tip of the iceberg. We plan to keep getting solutions for any and every issue.
