BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - We just have a few more chances of rain the next few days before a more dry and stable weather regime settles in. Today will be partly cloudy with a 30% chance of afternoon showers/storms, highs in the lower 90s.

Don’t forget to check out the Super Harvest Moon partial eclipse that will occur tonight, weather hopefully permitting.

As for the heat the next several days, highs will be in the low 90s with heat index readings not too bad in the mid 90s.

Over the next seven days, we should only see less than a quarter of an inch total.

In the tropics, we now just have Gordon, a fish storm, with nothing else forming or expected.

In the extended forecast, we’ll string together five or six straight dry days as we head into Fall this weekend.

to report a typo.
