SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -- Thanks to Hurricane Helene, our weather pattern is going to remain very constant over these next few days. Plan on sunshine, warmer temperatures, and no chances for rainfall whatsoever. Expect the wind to pick up a bit more on Thursday with wind gusts at times exceeding 25 mph throughout the afternoon hours. We’ll be much warmer too with highs climbing into the lower 90s in central and western South Dakota. There won’t be any muggy dew points returning though thanks to Hurricane Helene preventing the warmer moisture from making its way into our area. We’ll continue to have quiet conditions through Friday with cool mornings and warm afternoons on the horizon. We’ll be in the 80s by the afternoon with mornings beginning in the lower to mid 50s generally as we head into the weekend. Speaking of the weekend, it’s looking very quiet. Highs will remain in the 80s with plenty of sunshine sticking around. We’ll begin to cool down ironically on October 1st with highs falling into the 60s and then we’ll look to return to the 70s by the end of next week.
