While not everyone will see rain Friday, a few strong storms could disrupt evening plans.

Friday is a First Alert Weather Day, due to the chance of isolated severe storms developing during evening plans. Saturday is a First Alert Weather Day due to a greater risk of severe storms during afternoon and evening plans.

Under scattered clouds, temperatures soar into the mid and upper 80s away from the water Friday afternoon. Muggier weather is also in the forecast. it may feel like it's 90°, even if the actual temperature is in the upper 80s.

Afternoon heat allows clouds to grow taller and isolated thunderstorms to develop Friday. The chance of getting stormed on peaks between 4 pm and 10 pm. In Baltimore City, the greatest chance of storms occurs between 5 and 8 p.m. Widespread severe weather is not expected. A couple storms could produce damaging winds and hail. After work plans could be impacted. Do not cancel activities. But, the forecast is worthy of a bit more attention.

The risk of isolated severe weather decreases after sunset. A rain delay is possible during the O's game tonight. Storms will be moving fast enough that the game should not get postponed.

Leftover scattered showers and patchy fog are possible through the night as temperatures settle back into the 60s.

Saturday features a greater chance of rain and storms...

Saturday begins with low clouds and spotty rain. Clouds give way to a bit more sunshine during the afternoon. Temperatures surge into the mid and upper 80s by late afternoon Saturday. It'll feel muggy outside. Scattered storms develop and sweep in from the west during the afternoon and evening hours. The chance of a few severe storms is greater Saturday. Several rounds of storms are possible, well into the evening. Some road flooding is also possible, especially in the usual trouble spots.

Storms are most likely between 4 and 11 p.m. Saturday. Saturday evening's O's game will be tougher to play with stormy weather impacting the region. Stay tuned to WJZ for game updates. You can get updates on-the-go in the CBS News App.

Wet weather lingers into next week...

Sunday through Tuesday looks unsettled. Daily scattered showers and thunderstorms are in the First Alert Forecast. Storms will be most-numerous during the late morning and afternoon hours. A couple storms could produce small hail. Afternoon temperatures remain in the 70s with more clouds and rain around.

Total rainfall will average around 2". A few neighborhoods could see up to 4" of rain, while others record less than 2". This continues to look like a drought-denting stretch of wet weather.

We should see a break in the rain Wednesday. Plan on partly sunny weather and afternoon temperatures warming back into the mid and upper 70s.

A fast-moving storm system brings scattered showers Thursday. Temperatures will be seasonably cool mid to late next week with highs in the lower 70s.
