AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Amarillo police have arrested five people for online solicitation of a minor after an online sting operation.

According to police, Detectives from the Special Victims Unit, joined by officers from the Proactive Criminal Enforcement Unit, Motors and other units conducted an online sting operation targeting sexual predators.

The Amarillo Police Department SVU conducts these operations throughout the year to stop predators.

Police say the detectives are continually training to learn where the predators are online and how to find them.
