OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Waking up this morning, light scattered showers continue to fall over most of the area with heavier precipitation heading towards Des Moines. There’s also dense fog being reported across many communities, especially in Nebraska. A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for many Nebraska counties until 9 AM Sunday morning. If you encounter fog, please slow down and turn on the low beam headlights so other drivers can see you coming. During the day, it‘ll be similar to what Saturday was with mostly dry conditions and gloomy skies. A spotty shower here and there can’t be completely ruled out, but the best chance of rain will be overnight once again. Highs will be slightly warmer in the mid to upper 60s. Scattered thunderstorms will likely form after sunset tonight with a possibility of a storm or two becoming strong. There’s a marginal risk for severe weather over the York area where damaging winds and hail could occur tonight. Monday will be another overcast day with more scattered showers and storms. Highs will be cooling down to the mid to lower 50s. By Election Day, it will start out mostly cloudy with light showers then gradually clear out by the afternoon. If you don‘t want to wait in the rain, your best chance will be in the afternoon.
