WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A weak cold front is making it’s way through Kansas this evening and overnight. A few sprinkles and snowflakes are possible. No accumulations are anticipated, or impacts on roads as most areas will remain dry. Still, due to recent snows, side streets will remain slick in spots so continue to use caution as temperatures return below freezing overnight. Sunday will be a tad cooler with highs remaining in the low to mid 30s. Clouds will be breaking up and there should be a decent amount of sun to finish off the weekend. Next week, temperatures will start off cold, but a gradual warm up is coming by Wednesday and Thursday. There’s a chance some areas will hit 40 degrees for the first time in over a week (and this includes the areas with snow on the ground). However, it will be short lived as an Arctic air mass will arrive next weekend, sending Kansas right back into subfreezing weather for an extended period. There is also more chances of light snowfall next weekend... Tonight: Cloudy, maybe a sprinkle or flurry. Wind: NW 5-10. Low: 24. Tomorrow: Morning clouds, then mostly sunny. Wind: NW 10-20.
