ROCKY HILL, CT (WFSB) - Giving Tuesday is recognized as one of the most generous days of the year, and this year, the Connecticut Society of CPAs took the opportunity to give back to the community. The group of young accounting professionals organized a food drive aimed at supporting those in need. While the Connecticut Society of CPAs hosts a variety of events throughout the year, this food drive is one of their most important initiatives. All items collected during the event will be donated to Connecticut FoodShare, which works to fight hunger across the state. Gerald David, a staff accountant and CPA candidate, emphasized the importance of giving back. “We should all make a considerable effort to help at least one person a day. When we do that, it helps them build confidence,” he said. The Connecticut Society of CPAs has set a goal of raising $5,000 for Connecticut FoodShare. To support this cause, click here to donate.
