MONMOUTH, Ore. (KFDA) - The Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds football team lost to the Western Oregon Wolves Saturday, 49-20. As a team, the Greyhounds recorded 383 total yards, with 152 in the air and 231 on the ground. ENMU had more first downs and converted third and fourth downs, but they just couldn’t get points on the board. ENMU’s two touchdowns both were rushing. The Greyhounds scored first with a five-yard run from full back Ron Craten, and scored the last touchdown of the game again on a five-yard run from Elijah Zeh. Western Oregon scored a total of seven touchdowns. On a better note, wideout Jeremiah Moore became the first received to record 100 yards in one game. In this contest, he recorded six passes for 103 yards. ENMU falls to 2-4 on the year. This loss keeps the Greyhounds out of the win column in Lone Star Conference play. ENMU’s next contest is next Saturday in the Wagon Wheel game against West Texas A&M in Portales at 1 p.m. CST.
