TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The place to be Saturday was in Tuscaloosa. Thousands came from far and wide to cheer on the tide. Former President Donald Trump the most famous guest of all, and as usual he was a big topic of conversation among fans. “If I could see him and meet him, it would make my entire night, I’m just glad that he coming and supporting,” said one Alabama fan. The fans are used to large crowds but this was something different. “I have not ever seen a crowd of this size. This is more people than I have ever seen at Bryant Denny stadium, and the security is crazy,” said one Alabama student. Roads were blocked, dogs were out, the secret service was scouting and additional security measures were evident all around the stadium. Some fans, including an artist from Atlanta, even used the former president’s visit to make a few bucks. “The Trump (drawing) been selling more than anything right now. The Trump and then the Saban one,” he said. The former president was greeted with applause when they showed him on the videoboard in the first half. Still for most fans, their focus remained on one thing, and one thing only. “We are going to take them dogs down, roll tide,” screamed one Alabama fan. While it was all Alabama early, the bulldogs came back to make it a nail biter in the second half. Get news alerts in the Apple App Store and or subscribe to our email newsletter here .
