BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Good morning! NEXT 48 HOURS: Morning temperatures will start nice and cool Monday morning. Temperatures are in the 50s north of Interstate 20 and 60s south of the interstate. Monday is shaping up to be a nice afternoon with comfortable humidity levels thanks to the dry air in place. Temperatures will end up near average with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s with a mostly sunny sky. Winds will continue from the northeast at five to 10 mph. Temperatures will likely continue to trend a little warmer Tuesday with morning lows in the mid-60s and highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. We should remain dry Tuesday afternoon with a partly cloudy sky. We will likely end up mostly cloudy to overcast Wednesday afternoon. Morning temperatures Wednesday are forecast to start in the mid-60s with high temperatures a little cooler in the mid-80s Wednesday afternoon. Potential Tropical Cyclone 6 is forming in the Gulf and could become Tropical Storm Francine as early as Tuesday morning. By Wednesday, it Is expected to make landfall along the Louisiana coastline as a Category 1 hurricane. As it tracks inland, central Alabama will see a good amount of rain from this system.
Models project anywhere between one and three inches of rain across the state. This will help out drought conditions!
