KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The new week brings warmer temperatures and pleasant conditions, at least for the first half! An active weather pattern builds in for the latter part of the week with rain and storm chances. We’ll be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with windy conditions for the rest of our evening. Temperatures fall from the 60s into the 50s. A Red Flag Warnings is in effect until 8 PM for northwestern areas due to dry and windy conditions. Tonight, skies will be mostly clear and low temperatures drop to mid 30s. Monday will be pleasant with partly to mostly cloudy skies and a 20% chance for an afternoon shower. High temperatures reach the lower to mid 60s. Tuesday and Wednesday will be nice too with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. Skies will be partly cloudy. We see an active weather pattern drive into the KCTv5 region starting on Thursday and continuing all the way through Sunday. Spotty rain and thunderstorm activity will be possible Thursday and Friday along with breezy conditions. All eyes are on Thursday for the Royals home opener, so please make sure to check back with us as we fine tune the details and get a clearer picture of timing. At this point, it appears that spotty showers will be possible in the afternoon to evening. By Saturday, rain and thunderstorm activity picks up with a First Warn in place. Scattered activity will be possible across the area. We keep the spotty chance for rain and rumbles Sunday too. Keep in mind, we are not looking at a wash out for any day therefore there will be dry times to enjoy temperatures in the 70s and 60s.
