Good morning and happy Friday! We are chilly with temperatures in the 40s and 50s again this morning. We are below average today and into the weekend with rain chances through early next week.

Increasing clouds Friday

Temperatures today will climb into the upper 60s and lower 70s with increasing clouds early in the day. Winds will be out of the east at 5-10 mph. Isolated showers are possible but I still expect a lot of dry time.

Overnight tonight temperatures will drop into middle 50s with showers around and mostly cloudy skies.

Holiday weekend forecast

Rain chances continue on and off this weekend, so not a complete washout. Temperatures this weekend will be in the middle to upper 60s for most of mid-MO.

By the time all is said and done, we will likely pick up 1”-2” with lower totals north of I-70 and higher totals the further south you go.

There is a Flood Watch for southern Missouri until Monday night due to the threat of heavy rainfall. Areas in southern Missouri will see 2”-5”+ over the weekend.

Looking ahead

Heading into next week, rain chances continue Monday and Tuesday with temperatures in the 60s. Temperatures will climb back into the 70s for the middle and end of next week.

8-day forecast
