AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Former Randall star pitcher and current Amarillo College sophomore Duncan Bowles committed to Western Kentucky on Thursday. Bowles is the first homegrown recruit from Amarillo College to commit to a NCAA program, and the ninth total recruit from AC to commit to a Division I program. He joined the Badgers back in 2023, after helping lead Randall to its first state tournament appearance in 16 years. “I am blessed and excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Western Kentucky University! I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity and ability to play the game that I love,” Bowles said in an Instagram post. “Also, a huge thank you to my parents for the sacrifices and support.” As a Badger, he finished the 2024 spring season with 62 innings pitched, a 2.7 strikeout to walk rate, and a WHIP of 1.55.
