We hit 100° in Huntsville on Wednesday, but the humidity hasn’t been a big factor the last few days. That changes today with a *HEAT ADVISORY* over parts of north Alabama through 9pm Thursday. Highs reach the middle to upper 90s, but this time the humidity increases producing triple digit heat index values through the afternoon. There will be some showers and storms around as well. Here are some of the “feels like” temperatures for the afternoon. The higher terrain of northeast Alabama doesn’t meet the advisory criteria. As we wind down summer, it’s always a good reminder to take your heat precautions when spending time outside. As we move into the Labor Day weekend, temperatures won’t be as hot with a chance of showers and storms.
