LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Kentucky State Police are investigating after a man was killed in Franklin County Saturday, Nov. 9. KSP said they were called to the area of Flat Creek Road around 10 p.m. on a report of an altercation between Justin Girtley, 36, and Steven Girtley. There, they found Justin Girtley shot. He died before he could be taken to the hospital. Troopers said Steven Girtley had fled into a wooded area near the house where the shooting happened. Law enforcement are still looking for him. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office describes Steven Firley as 60 years old, 6 feet tall, about 185 pounds, with blue eyes and a gray beard. He was last seen in camouflage clothing.
