KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Snow moved through the Kansas City area overnight. The snow prompted some school districts to close and others to go virtual for Friday.

6:30a.m. | School closings continue to jump up. There were 73 closings at midnight, 90 at 5 a.m., and 122 at 6 a.m. Parents should continue to monitor their childs district on our closings list.

6:10 a.m. | It's already been a busy morning for first responders.

5:30 a.m. | The overnight snowfall continues to have impacts on area education.

5 a.m. | School closings continue to roll in this morning. Our school closing list had 73 schools listed at midnight, and that has increased to 90 schools closed at 5 a.m. Parents are encouraged to continually monitor their district.

4:45 a.m. | Two people were killed and a third is in critical condition after a vehicle went off the bridge and ended up on the street below I-435WB at 104th Street.

4:30 a.m.| Snow moved through the Kansas City area overnight.

About two inches of wet snow made roads slick and multiple accidents, including one fatal off I-435 in south Kansas City were reported overnight.

The snow prompted some school districts to post closings Thursday night and others to go virtual. Early Friday morning more districts have posted closures and virtual learning, so parents are encouraged to continually check on their district.
