TAMPA, Fla. – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will hold a news conference in Tampa Monday morning to discuss the state’s crackdown in illegal immigration.

He will be joined by Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Executive Director Dave Kerner and Florida State Board of Immigration Enforcement Executive Director Larry Keefe.

Earlier this month, DeSantis touted “Operation Tidal Wave,” which resulted in more than 1,100 immigration arrests in Florida in less than a week.

“We will continue to engage in broad interior enforcement efforts,” said DeSantis at a joint press conference with federal officials. “This is just the beginning.”
