A man was charged with murder in the shooting death of a 19-year-old on Friday in Lee County.

Around 5:45 p.m., Lee County deputies responded to the 1500 block of Poplar Springs Church Road to look into a reported shooting.

Erik Peredes Maravilla, 19, was found shot to death. One other person had been shot and was flown to a nearby trauma center.

Stephen Alexander Buruca-Romero was charged with murder. He's being held in the Lee County Jail under no bond.

More charges and arrests are pending, according to deputies.
