PERHAM — The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) approved the 2025-26 and 2026-27 section realignments following their monthly meeting on April 3.

The MSHSL reclassifies teams by sport and activity every two years for postseason competition and performances. Competitive sections are determined by enrollment and geographic area.

The Perham girls tennis was the only team that saw a change, returning to Section 8AA. The other Yellowjackets teams remained in their current sections, but there were shakeups across multiple sports and sections. Here’s a breakdown of the teams moving in and out.

Cross-country: Section 8AA

Girls swimming and diving: Section 8A

Girls tennis: Section 8AA

Volleyball: Section 8AA

Boys basketball: Section 8AA
