LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The second-ranked Nebraska volleyball team defeated Maryland on Saturday to clinch a share of the Big Ten championship. The Huskers finish the conference season with a 19-1 record, tying Penn State for first place. Nebraska becomes a back-to-back champion after winning the title outright in 2023.

In the Maryland victory, the Huskers rallied back from a 1-0 set deficit. Nebraska won the next three sets convincingly behind an improved offensive effort. Merritt Beason, the #1 draft pick in the PVL Draft, finished with a match-high 19 kills. Harper Murray added 12 kills for the Huskers. Sophomore setter Bergen Reilly recorded a double-double with 43 assists and 14 digs.

Nebraska now awaits the NCAA Tournament Selection Show, which is scheduled for Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
