The 129th Boston Marathon is occurring rain or shine Monday, but what will the weather look like?

It appears Monday will feature a good amount of sunshine to start. Temperatures will begin in the 30s to lower 40s for the early morning. Afternoon highs will be in the 50s. An ocean breeze will develop past Heartbreak Hill, cooling down Brookline and Boston for the afternoon. Showers will be possible towards evening, mainly after athletes have crossed the finish line.

And while it might feel a little warm for runners and athletes Monday afternoon, it will definitely be cooler than the temperatures we're seeing to start the weekend. It should be pleasant for spectators and anyone gathered to watch.

Anyone participating in the race should plan on wearing sunscreen with just about full sunshine expected through the early afternoon.

The maps below will be updated multiple times each day.
