The pilot of a plane that took off from Fayetteville to Corinth, Mississippi has been killed in a wreck. The Van Buren County judge tells 40/29 News, the sole person on board the 6-passenger plane was 68-year-old Robert Phillip Mathis. The judge says Survival Flight, Arkansas Forestry, and a privately owned craft searched for the wreckage. After four hours of searching, a ground crew confirmed that the plane had crashed and that the pilot was deceased/ The scene is under investigation.
