EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - An Evansville man is facing charges after officials say he led them on a chase Monday night.

According to a press release, Indiana State Police troopers attempted to pull over 31-year-old Kevin Moman when they saw him driving near Covert Avenue without a seat belt.

Troopers say as they were approaching Moman’s vehicle he sped off.

A release shows Moman crashed into a ditch on Elmendorf Avenue and then began running on foot.

Moman was arrested after troopers found him hiding in the 3700 block of Waggoner Avenue.

They say while searching Moman’s vehicle they found a small amount of a suspected narcotic substance.

Further investigation revealed he had an outstanding warrant out of Vanderburgh County for a petition to revoke his probation.

Moman was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he is currently being held without bond.
