WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - It’s a cool but wet morning in Wichita. Light to moderate rainfall will continue through the rest of the morning. Showers will lighten up during the afternoon and evening. Afternoon temperatures will vary from the 40s to the 50s across Kansas.

A cold front will push through the state overnight, sparking more scattered showers in western Kansas. Some rain/snow mix will be possible through Saturday morning for southwest Kansas. Any snow accumulation should remain little to none.

A few morning showers are possible for Wichita to start Saturday, but the afternoon should be dry and mostly cloudy. Winds will be strong from the north with gusts up to 40 mph. Expect highs across the state to mainly be in the 40s with wind chills in the 30s.

Clouds and gusty winds will move out heading into Sunday. Mainly sunny skies will warm temperatures back to the upper 50s. Temperatures will continue to climb next week, with highs reaching the 70s by midweek. Our weather pattern will be much quieter throughout the week, with little to no rain chances.
