SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The 118th State Fair of Louisiana kicks off on Wednesday, Oct. 30!

This year’s fair runs through Nov. 17 and is full of carnival rides, shows, food and live music. Favorites like the LRCA Finals Rodeo, the Ultimate Dog Show, and the largest livestock show in the state will be returning.

Entry is free until 3 p.m. and parking will be free for everyone! The fair is open Wednesday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

TICKET INFORMATION

Officials with the fair say they’re working with a new carnival ride operator this year. It will be the same company that creates the carnival for the State Fair of Texas.

SPECIAL DAYS

New security measures are also in place, including a clear bag policy and extra cameras around the property.
