STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — From enjoying a night of bowling to taking in a Staten Island FerryHawks game, The Pride Center of Staten Island has planned a host of PrideFest 2025 events, which start in May to celebrate the borough’s LGBTQ+ community.

And while Pride Month is traditionally celebrated in June, Staten Island festivities kickoff in May to allow Islanders to attend other LGBTQ+ events occurring across the city. And this year, the Island’s events extend into June.

The series of events will include the Pride Center’s Pride Festival, which last year was attended by more than 3,000 people. With over 100 vendors, artists, food trucks, entertainment and activities – including free “slip and slide” and mechanical bull rides – this year’s event promises to have entertainment for the whole family.

“Our our Pride Festival each year seems to be growing and getting bigger and better,” said Melissa Sullivan , executive director of the Pride Center of Staten Island.

“I’d love to see everybody out at at the Pride Festival on May 31. And we also have so many other smaller, good events, like our youth prom, pride bowling and senior brunch. We’ve got such a great range of pride events happening this year. And I can’t wait to meet the whole community out at those events. And everybody should absolutely stop by and say hello,” she added.
