“While there may be some limited inventory for certain products, we are working to re-stock our shelves and anticipate item availability to continue to improve over the next few days,” Stop & Shop spokesperson Caroline Medeiros said in an email. “Our stores are well-stocked with turkeys and hams for Thanksgiving, and we look forward to serving our customers in the days ahead for the holidays.”

Customers on the store’s Facebook page reported app malfunctions and “Go Rewards” emails from the company arriving days late. The company responded in a comment on Facebook that “system issues” are causing delayed notifications.

The problems at stores have been widespread. WHDH found empty produce, meat, and poultry shelves in Dedham, and Reddit users mentioned products missing in Quincy and Brigham Circle .

Dutch grocery company Ahold Delhaize, which owns Stop & Shop and Hannaford, took some of its systems offline at its US locations to protect them after discovering a cybersecurity issue, the Globe previously reported.

“Our mitigation efforts have impacted the shipment of select products to our stores,” Medeiros said last week.

The company hired experts to help its security team with an investigation, which is ongoing.

“Our teams are taking steps to assess and mitigate the issue,” Medeiros said Tuesday. “We will continue to take actions to further protect our systems. The security of our customers, associates and partners remains a top priority.”

Staff writers Katie Johnston and Jessica Bartlett contributed reporting.
