SOUTH BRUNSWICK – A 24-year-old Pennsylvania man was killed in a motorcycle crash Friday night on the New Jersey Turnpike.

State Troopers responded to the single-vehicle crash around 7:48 p.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike North inner roadway near milepost 77, according to New Jersey State Police Sergeant Charles Marchan.

An investigation found that Torbjorn Vetland, of Stroudsburg, was driving his Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on the Turnpike on the right shoulder and that he struck the right guardrail, overturned, and was ejected from his motorcycle.

Vetland sustained fatal injuries.

The crash is currently under investigation, Marchan said.
