LEBANON, N.H. (WCAX) - Lebanon, New Hampshire, hosted its annual Veterans Day celebration on Monday. The parade and ceremony that followed is organized every year by Lebanon’s American Legion Post 22. A color guard, legion riders and the auxiliary all took part. Lebanon High School’s marching band filled the air with patriotic music. Organizers say the annual event in the Upper Valley is as much about the community as it is honoring those who have served. “The American Legion, and veterans, it’s about the community. We serve in the military to protect what is ours and it goes to all community members. And we support the community the best we can,” said Tim Dent of American Legion Post 22. The parade route ended at the Lebanon Green where a prayer was offered and speakers addressed a large crowd. The city holds a similar event every Memorial Day.
