FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Allen County Coroner’s Office has formally identified the person who was killed in a shooting Tuesday evening as an 18-year-old Fort Wayne man.

The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says they were called about a shooting around 10 p.m. Tuesday near E Lewis and Hanna Streets.

When officers arrived, they say they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the Cap n’ Cork on E Lewis Street. They say he was taken to an area hospital in life-threatening condition.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office said on Thursday that the man later died from his injuries at the hospital.

He has been identified as 18-year-old Parker James Eugene Billman of Fort Wayne. His manner of death was ruled a homicide, marking the 29th homicide in Allen County so far this year.

The shooting remains under investigation at this time.
