TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Two people die in a fatality accident in Jefferson County on Sunday morning.

The Kansas Highway Patrol confirmed Sunday morning, a little after 5:00 a.m., that there was a wreck at 62nd and K-4, and the roadway is still shut down.

KHP said they are still working on the scene.

According to the KHP crash log, a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado was heading North in the Southbound lanes of K4 Highway.

A 2006 Jeep Wrangler was heading South in the Southbound lanes. The two vehicles struck head-on.

Both drivers of the vehicles, Dylan Harvey, 28, Topeka, and Gavin Royer, 33, Valley Falls, were pronounced dead at the scene.
