WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Our warm streak continues today but with less wind this afternoon. It’s another cool morning with lows in the 40s, but expect highs to climb back into the middle 70s across the state under partly cloudy skies. We’ll continue with highs in the 70s heading into Wednesday. There is a very slim chance for some showers Wednesday night, but most of the state should stay dry. Temperatures will soar to the 80s on Thursday, with some locations nearing record high territory. Winds will also become gusty again Thursday and last through the weekend. Fire danger will be elevated to critical for portions of the state through Friday. A storm system will enter the state over the weekend, bringing a chance for showers and some thunderstorms Saturday night. Some storms could be strong.
