KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - Kansas City area drivers who use I-70 through Kansas City, Kansas, experience traffic issues on Wednesday afternoon. Highway officials stated that westbound I-70 before Fairfax Trafficway was shut down just after 4:15 p.m. One lane had been allowed for drivers about 20 minutes later. The I-70 on-ramp from I-35 west of downtown Kansas City, Missouri, was also closed and diverting traffic. A KCTV5 news crew observed bullet holes in the driver-side window of a car stopped on the interstate. Police said a vehicle pursuit ended in the area and several law enforcement vehicles were on scene. Drivers wanting to head west of downtown Kansas City should use I-670.
