NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced that the two missing children from Nashville were located and are safe.

The TBI issued an Endangered Child Alert for 1-year-old Rico Delk and 3-month-old Elijah Delk and reported they were likely with their ‘non-custodial mother,” 39-year-old Sarah Myers.

On Thursday morning, the TBI announced both Rico and Elijah were safe. They were located in Hermitage.

Their non-custodial mother, Myers, was arrested and booked into Davidson County Jail early Thursday morning.

According to her arrest affidavits, Myers arrived at the home of Holly Featherman, who has legal custody of both Rico and Elijah, on Wednesday. It is believed that Holly is Sarah’s mother, and grandmother to both boys. Sarah entered the home and “attacked her until she was rendered unconscious,” the affidavit states.

Myers then fled with the two boys in Featherman’s red Lincoln Town Car and the Metro Nashville Police Department was notified.

Later on Wednesday, around 11:30 p.m., officers were called to a townhome community in Hermitage for a suicidal individual, according to the affidavit. Myers had told a man she knew that she wanted to kill herself and had “overdoses on prescription medication,” the affidavit states.

Officers arrived and found Rico in the Lincoln parked outside, but Myers and Elijah were not seen, according to their report. Personnel with the Nashville Fire Department transported Rico to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt while officers searched for his mother and brother on foot and in the air.

Myers was located inside a residence on Old Fountain Place with Elijah and was taken into custody, according to the affidavit. They learned that Myers had entered the residence through the back door and never went outside to check on Rico in the car, the affidavit states.

Her listed name is Sarah Jane Featherman. She faces two counts of custodial interference and one count of child neglect. She is also charged with stealing the Lincoln from Mrs. Featherman.
