According to the National Barbecue News, one D.C. BBQ spot was named as the "Best of the Best Barbecue Restaurants in America."

National Barbecue News, a publication dedicated to all things barbecue, named one Washington, D.C., BBQ restaurant as the "Best of the Best Barbecue Restaurants in America." The winning BBQ spot: Rocklands Barbeque and Grilling Company, located on 2418 Wisconsin Ave NW. Affiliates of the publication visit the restaurants and do a taste test, without the restaurants' knowledge. The honor is awarded for a one-year period, only if they pass the taste test. Once the 12-month period is up, each listed restaurant will be re-tested in the same manner to see if they can make it on the list for an additional year. Only 29 restaurants in the country made the list this year. To view the full list, click here.
