Fall foods are the absolute best, and The Cheesecake Factory is all about knocking them out of the park!
The ongoing Thanksgiving debate between pumpkin pie lovers and pecan pie lovers just got real. The Cheesecake Factory's Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake is a refreshing compromise, perfect for those of us who absolutely love them both! From now through Thanksgiving Day, the Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake and the slightly-more-boring-but-still-decadent Pumpkin Cheesecake are back on the menu. The Pumpkin Cheesecake
features the restaurant's classic creamy cheesecake-and-graham-cracker-crust recipe with a delightful, autumnal pumpkin twist. But if you're a little more daring (and can never decide between your favorite pies on the "King of All Pie Days" in November), the Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake
takes a layer of the aforementioned pumpkin and stacks it on top of a gooey pecan pie anchor -- complete with yummy, flaky pie crust, sprinklings of pecans between layers, and finished off with a caramel and pecan topping and a swirly dollop of whipped cream. How could this ever go wrong? Unless it tastes so amazing that you simply have
to order a second piece ... and then a third ...
But the best part?
In recognition of Hunger Action Month and continuing its support of hunger-relief, for every slice of Pumpkin Cheesecake and Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake sold through Thanksgiving, The Cheesecake Factory will donate 25 cents to Feeding America®, the nation’s largest organization dedicated to fighting domestic hunger through a network of food banks," the company's press release states.
That's right. You can have your cake, and others can eat, too. The Cheesecake Factory has been able to donate $4.2 million to Feeding America through selling certain designated cheesecake slices over the past nine years. It is expected that the cheesecake sales will generate a donation of at least $250,000 to the organization, to be split 50/50 between the group's national office and food banks located near the restaurants. pecan, hold tight. After Thanksgiving, on November 24, the Peppermint Bark Cheesecake
(with its dreamy chocolate peppermint bark swirl and white chocolate mousse) shall return through January 2, 2018. Sales of it, too, will benefit Feeding America
. Have you ever tasted one of these special creations? What's your favorite fall food? We'd love to hear about it in the comments!
