We hate to say it, but fall is approaching! Luckily, we've found some fantastic fall cocktails to help keep you warm when the weather turns.
Obviously very few people look forward to the end of summer, but there are some bonuses! You can put down the sweet, fruity drinks of summer and instead pick up something heartier, warmer, and with the delicious spices of fall. Enjoy these fantastic fall cocktails to keep you warm while the leaves change.
Kentucky Mulled Cider
Ingredients:
- 1.25 oz Maker's Mark Bourbon
- Hot apple cider
- Dash of allspice
- Tall cinnamon stick
- Lemon slice
Directions:
Add bourbon to a mug, then fill the rest of the mug with the hot apple cider and a dash of allspice. Garnish the drink with a tall cinnamon stick and a lemon slice.
Apple Cider Mimosas

Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of champagne
- 1 cup of apple cider
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
Combine sugar and cinnamon on a small plate. Dip champagne flutes in water to wet the rims, then rim the glasses with the cinnamon sugar mix. Fill the champagne flutes 1/4 full with apple cider and top off with champagne.
Thyme Will Tell
Ingredients:
- 2 oz bourbon
- .5 oz maple syrup
- .5 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Thyme
Directions:
Muddle the thyme, then combine and mix the ingredients. Serve on the rocks and garnish with a lemon peel and some more thyme.
The Harvest
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz cognac
- .5 oz cinnamon syrup
- 1 large spoonful of apple butter or apple syrup
Directions:
Shake ingredients together and pour into a coupe glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Caramel Apple Mule
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Absolut vodka
- .5 oz caramel syrup
- 1 oz apple cider
- Ginger beer
Directions:
Shake all ingredients except ginger beer with ice. Strain it into a mug over ice and top it off with ginger beer. Garnish with an apple slice.
The Marguerite
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz 1800 Reposado tequila
- 1 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
- .5 oz Fino sherry
- .5 oz maraschino liqueur
Directions:
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into an ice-filled Old Fashioned glass. Top with soda water and garnish with a grapefruit twist.
Pear Sour
Ingredients:
- 2 oz pear brandy
- 2 oz pear nectar/fresh pear juice
- .75 oz fresh lemon juice
- .5 oz simple syrup
- 1 pear slice
- I egg white (optional)
Directions:
Mix pear brandy, pear nectar, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white (if you're using it) in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and mix well. Be sure to shake vigorously if you're including the egg white. Strain into a martini or coupe glass and garnish with a pear slice.
High Fashion
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Plymouth Gin
- 1.25 oz elderflower liqueur
- 1.25 oz grapefruit juice
- 2 dashes rhubarb bitters
- Grapefruit peel
Directions:
Mix ingredients together in a glass with ice and stir. Garnish with grapefruit peel.
Ticket to Cuba
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Ron Zacapa Rum
- .5 oz yuzu juice
- .5 oz simple syrup
- Handful of fresh mint
- Champagne
Directions:
Combine ingredients except champagne and mint in a cocktail shaker. Shake and double strain the drink into a chilled coupe glass. top with champagne and garnish with mint.
Bartender's Breakfast
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz coconut milk/Nutella mix (combine 1:1 in a blender)
- 1 oz milk
- .75 oz El Dorado 12 Yr Old Rum
- .75 oz Pierre Ferrand 1840 Cognac
- .25 oz demerara syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Nutmeg
Directions:
Shake ingredients with crushed ice, then strain into a raki glass. Garnish with shaved nutmeg. Best enjoyed through a red striped straw!
Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Bailey's Pumpkin Spice
- 1 oz Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
- 1.5 scoops vanilla ice cream
- Cola
- Mint
Directions:
Combine Bailey's, Captain Morgan and vanilla ice cream in a highball glass. Top with cola and stir. Garnish with mint and serve.
