Surprise (or not), it comes from Cold Stone!

Way out in the suburb of Parker, a nice fall day --while not uncommon-- is reason enough to indulge in a little self-pampering. And while you could venture downtown to meet friends at a swanky farm-to-table place for apps and a glass of wine, the kids get home in a couple hours, bills need to be taken care of, and you need to set an appointment or two. So you're left with your choice of the chains, and that's not necessarily a bad thing because chains are known for being consistent, convenient, and if necessary, kid-friendly. We might even venture to say that they do the whole pumpkin thing better too, which is why we decided to try a few. And what we found won't surprise you; you'll just be surprised you didn't think of it -- Cold Stone.
What we found is that there's no need to fight the masses making their way to Starbucks, especially when you can get something that tastes better and is equally as self-indulgent at Cold Stone. “The season is upon us and that means we are bringing back two of our indulgent fall flavors for guests to enjoy all season long,” said Kate Unger, senior vice president of Cold Stone Creamery. “Rich and decadent flavors like Pumpkin Cheesecake and Creme Brulee continue to trend this time of year, and we are excited to add these two super-premium ice cream flavors, along with our Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream Pie to the menu this fall.” [gallery ids="25848,25847,25850"]   And we've confirmed it: the seasonal Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream, Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream Pie, and Creme Brulee Ice Cream are to die for -- and then you can come back as a ghost to haunt Cold Stone after hours to help yourself to more. It's hard to beat that perfect blend of sweet rich ice cream, pumpkin, and whatever mix-in you choose, that we've come to love from the ice cream chain. As for the nutritional information, a like-it size of the stuff is actually similar in its naughty factor to a tall size of its Starbucks counterpart, and if need be, you can share one -- though you probably won't want to. Should you be forced to, we recommend going to the Parker Cold Stone at Lincoln and Village Center Dr; they have "Family Night" every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., where you can get a free kids' creation (1 mix-in) for every love-it (1 mix-in) you purchase, and as far as we know, that's the only location that does that sort of thing. So the next time you're looking to indulge, don't overlook Cold Stone. And for a slightly less expensive outing, go to the Cold Stone in Parker!
